Beautiful shishi netsuke in finely crafted wood. The netsuke is quite rare because it does not represent the classic shishi, smaller and stockier but it has more of a tiger or lion shape, so maybe it represents the latter. Very nice patina and with a wide classic imotoshi to keep the string typical of the Edo period. Movable wooden ball inside the mouth imitating the tongue.
