Spectacular sword katana shobu zukuri rare shape signed “Tokukatsu” full of personality from the muromachi period with a beautiful very long O`kissaki. This type of swords are rare and highly sought after as they are preferred by most collectors for their graceful and elegant style. The sword is in excellent condition, both blade and koshirae.
Great sword with a fantastic Japanese polishing on a high quality koshirae with elements in shakudo, one of the most expensive materials for this type of pieces, which is an alloy of gold and copper. Magnific tsuba with hannya motives, very rare and nice queality. White or very light-colored swords were often reserved for daimyos and high-ranking samurai who rarely had to fight on the front lines of the battlefield, as white signifies purity and was intended for great lords who did not need to get their hands dirty. The large kissaki is exceptional and gives a unique style to this sword, except for two small rust spots cleaned, the rest of the polish is in a spectacular condition.
