Nice and very ancient sword with a traditional polish in very good condition from Muromachi period with shirasaya and koshirae signed although too erased to read and dated 1505. The sword has both types of mountings. The koshirae has a tsuka in brown leather on genuine white stripe leather, an early Edo period antique tsuba in iron and a superb black lacquered saya with the first terdio in genuine stripe leather, a very expensive type of decoration for sayas. Although parts like the tsuba are from the Edo period, others like the saya and the tsuka are more modern, probably late 20th century replaced because the previous ones would be in bad condition, even so the quality of the materials like the bronze darkened with gold of the fuchi kashira or the stingray leather in the saya show a very good quality of the mount.

The blade is in old japanese polish remaining in good condition, the jihada of the steel is detailed and full of details to appreciate. A masterpiece Worthly a museum and a great addition to any private collection.
