Excellent example of nihonto signed “Kanemoto” in extraordinary condition with two different types of mounts. Firstly the excellent koshirae from the Edo period in almost pristine condition. The koshirae is an example of quality in itself both for the elegant tsuka in golden yellow color and its precious fuchikashira with floral motifs and gold inlays, and for its iron tsuba with excellent patina and high quality reliefs with floral motifs. The classic black saya is also in excellent condition. It also includes the shirasaya, a saddle used to keep the blade after combat. The two mounts can be displayed in the same kake giving a fantastic impression. The blade is in excellent condition with an almost perfect polish and the hamon is rare and very showy. A great choice for any collector.
