Beautiful Mid Edo period Nihonto sword in good condition due the ages in original mid edo Koshirae. Just a few superficial scratches and old rust mark that can be removed with a superficial polish.
Very long nagasa cutting edge 71 centimeters. You can clearly see the quality of the sword and the beautiful jihada and hamon produced by the tamahagane steel forging process that used different densities and folds to make Japanese swords, the best swords ever created.
A good example of this is the fantastic condition in which it remains after almost 300 years. The koshirae is a very good edo period example made in iron with great patina and a beautiful bats inlays in shakudo (mix of gold and copper) the entire koshirae remains in good condition due the ages.
