Great katana in fantastic condition, the blade retains a visible polish with a very attractive and unusual hamon and an elegant and subtle Jihada. The koshirae is in a wonderful condition. Especially noteworthy are the absolutely stunning fuchikashira with high relief dragon motifs. Very rarely have I seen fuchikashira with this level of detail and thickness in the relief, works of art in their own right. They are accompanied by some great Menukis also with gold plated bronze dragon motifs. Elegant black lacquered saya in magnificent condition and a beautiful iron tsuba with glycine motifs, an incredible koshirae worthy of a fabulous sword.
Blade is in very good condition due to aging. Not hagire and not fatal damage, of course. This is a japanese weapon so have a real historical value. This is a weapon with centuries, not machine crafted so can be minor movements of saya, tsuka, tsuba, etc. Because of dilatation, humidity, etc. and little damages propers of his age like small rust, scratches, etc.
