About The armor:
It Comes with certificate of SupeinNihonto.
Fantastic Gusoku armor with an elegant color combination and several interesting details. This armor dates from the Edo period so it was worn by authentic samurai and has not only decorative but also historical aspect. The kabuto or helmet has the clan symbol on the fins (fukigaeshi) of the Hideyoshi, whose main reference of the clan was Toyotomi Hideyoshi, one of the three unifiers of Japan and one of the three most important samurai families of the Edo period for its cultural importance. Hideyoshi belonged to a humble family and worked as an assistant to Oda Nobunaga until the latter decided to promote him to daimyo or clan chief for his great qualities. Gold inlays are still preserved in the kabuto and Do (chest). This detail was very expensive so only samurai of middle and high rank could afford it. The kabuto is decorated with a being of Japanese mythology half dragon half turtle, symbol of protection and abundance. In addition, an interesting detail is the remains of animal hair that still remain on the skirt, usually made with wild boar or bear hair. The armor includes all the parts so it is complete and although it has its problems due to the passage of hundreds of years it is well preserved and once assembled can remain so for a hundred years. It includes the assembly structure as well as the wooden box for transport and exhibition.
As is normal in a suit of armor with so much history, which was undoubtedly used for combat and is not a mere reproduction of the 20th century, it has some superficial scratches, surface damage and chips that show that it had a long life of combat and retains an authentic and precious historical value worthy of a museum. This exclusive piece is making it an incredible opportunity for any collector of Japanese, war or simply historical art to get their hands on a piece that will attract attention wherever it is displayed, from offices, to private homes, offices or restaurants and will give a regal look to any place. The armour has gilded details that show the quality of the piece. The incredible workmanship accentuates such ornate pieces as the kabuto, the mempo and the Do. The stand to assemble it and the box are included. This armour is sure to delight any collector of Asian art and will be the focal point of any visitor’s home, shop or office. There is a very ancient object and there are damaged by time and tears. Due to the delicacy of continuous assembly and disassembly, returns are not allowed on old armor.
