About The armor:

It Comes with certificate of SupeinNihonto.

Fantastic gusoku armor with all its elements and original antique box from Edo period (XVII century).  Great early Edo period armour with a very unusual design. The armour is matched in its elements with an unusual homogeneous finish. Kawari-nuri refers to many kinds of lacquering techniques which are used to make interesting patterned or textured finishes. It was a very popular technique used historically on armour and sword sheaths as it gave them a harder finish and made them more resistant to scuffing and scratching. This piece has most of the elements with this rare finish, plus the colours are striking and the finely crafted Wakidate wood antlers are mounted on the zunari kabuto. The red and gold tones used to be the most expensive and least frequent on armour. It is a very rare and personal armour, designed to order by some high level samurai who could afford it. A great piece and addition to any collection for its rarity and savage style, as in reality it was usually intended to strike fear into the opponent with a fierce look that it certainly achieves.

It includes the box that was used during transport and for display, plus a wooden skeleton to keep it upright. As is normal in a suit of armor with so much history, which was undoubtedly used for combat and is not a mere reproduction of the 20th century, it has some superficial scratches, surface damage and chips that show that it had a long life of combat and retains an authentic and precious historical value worthy of a museum. This exclusive piece is making it an incredible opportunity for any collector of Japanese, war or simply historical art to get their hands on a piece that will attract attention wherever it is displayed, from offices, to private homes, offices or restaurants and will give a regal look to any place. Visit Us at www.supeinnihonto.com. The armour has gilded details that show the quality of the piece. The incredible workmanship accentuates such ornate pieces as the kabuto, the mempo and the Do. The stand to assemble it and the box are included. This armour is sure to delight any collector of Asian art and will be the focal point of any visitor’s home, shop or office. There is a very ancient object and there are damaged by time and tears. Due to the delicacy of continuous assembly and disassembly, returns are not allowed on old armor.
