Fabulous and rare antique armor XIX century in good condition given its age and use and with all its elements. Beautiful and striking blue, orange and black patterns on almost all the armor. The armor has a very unusual and very striking mask, golden inside. This type of mask is known as men and is characterized by having the entire face covered, giving an aspect of ferocity and fear much greater than with other types of masks such as menpo (half face) or hanpo (cheek and neck protector) which makes this armor in a great piece with great spectacularity and theatricality. As if that were not enough, it retains the original maedate created without a doubt in a personalized way, in trench art style. The maedate is made with a real buffalo horn with rough engravings, probably handmade by the samurai himself, of a katana and the symbol of the Asano clan for which he probably fought, widely known for the incident of the 47 ronin. It also has in a small ring a lock of hair, probably from a horse, with enough meaning for him to indicate this detail in the maedate. Undoubtedly an artistic and personal element of great historical value. Because of the workmanship and quality involved, it was specifically created for a high level samurai or a local daimyo. Some pieces have been restored so its in very good condition.
